Javier is a lawyer in the tax law department of the Madrid office of Ashurst LLP. A partner at that firm since 2013, he has directed his professional career toward tax advisory, mainly for international investors making investments in Spain, in structural, transactional aspects, or even in relation to the prevention of or advice on administrative or contentious-administrative proceedings defending his clients’ interests.
In 2006 he founded, together with other colleagues, and has since been president of the Ashurst Solidario Committee, through which activities related to Ashurst’s corporate social responsibility area in Madrid are channeled.
Javier holds a Law degree from UNED and a degree in Economic Sciences from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. An expert in International Taxation from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, he is a recurring lecturer at institutions such as ICADE, ISDE and the Instituto de Empresa.
