PROJECT

A training program based on the importance and influence of food on climate change. The goal is for students to understand the relationship between food and climate, distinguishing key concepts and their impact, in order to make sustainable decisions and be part of the solution to the climate emergency.

The project contributed 264 hours of community impact through 12 workshops.

SYNERGY

Collaboration between teachers, students, environmental educators, companies and entities is key to generating awareness about the relationship between food and climate change. Through participatory dynamics and a downloadable guide, meaningful learning is fostered that empowers young people to make more sustainable food choices. The combination of in-person workshops and digital distribution of the material amplifies the project’s impact, reaching both the school community and a wider audience.

What I liked most about the workshop was the activity where we sorted the healthiest and least healthy foods. I also liked discovering new things, like the fact that big fish tend to contain more mercury because of their diet.
